I don't know about you, but I often hear and see commercials for health-related products and nutritional supplements that promise energy and health, yet these companies are mainly trying to sell you their products, and they omit in their ad the brilliant idea that you would benefit even more if you simply start working on diet improvements instead. Also, many of the promoted supplements are quite expensive if you take them month after month as suggested, and money could better be spent on wholesome food. Most people are not able to afford both the over-priced supplements and better quality food at the same time. Realize, also, that I am not anti-supplements, but rather, I believe that dietary supplements should be personalized to each person's health needs while they also eat or are learning to eat more wholesome foods, not simply fortify a poor diet.
Nutrition can be very confusing and that could well be the reason so many ignore it. I would like to help you clear up the confusion, simplify the "Nutrition Facts," and give you very practical advice on how to eat well.
My major role as a registered dietitian over the past years has been to guide clients into making better food choices, but my life has changed a lot now that I have retired. Since I still want to help folks improve their eating habits, I am changing how I do it. Keep reading if you are curious.....
No matter how old or young you are, improved nutrition can help in so many ways! This is not the place to list the huge number of health benefits you might enjoy, but let me just say that by feeding yourself the wholesome foods I'll be discussing here, your body will receive desperately needed nutrients so it can function properly and you will also be eliminating many toxic components all so common in today's food supply. As you probably have heard, the typical American's diet is atrocious! Hopefully, you are not typical, but if you're not eating as well as you should, then when you start making better food choices, your body will be able to function better, and you will start feeling so much better! That's over simplified, but it's how it is.

More Important Than We Thought!
What we eat, drink, breathe, think, & apply to the body all influence our health, either for good or for bad. Even invisible toxic Electro-Magnetic Fields (EMFs) from electronic devices affect our health negatively. This includes cell phones, cordless phones, computers, tablets, Fit Bits, Smart watches, Smart Meters, Blue Tooth technology, 5G, plus so many other energy technologies - the list keeps growing! EMFs are becoming major toxins.
Health also declines as the body's nourishment is compromised from typical American ultra processed and often fake foods as well as increasing amounts of toxic exposures ...
Think about your own environment, from the moment you get up, until you fall asleep. What toxic foods & products are you using? You may not realize what products are toxic and what are safe, but it's very possible to learn, and you can get started here.
If you are not consciously working on good health, then your health will not remain optimal. Why not make a personal decision to stop making yourself sick & start treating your body with respect! You may never know exactly what medical problems you are helping to correct or prevent, but your body will definitely benefit - and each member of your household as well!
If you already have health issues, it's important that you start your health journey with a health care practitioner that understands "health" and doesn't just prescribe medicines to cover symptoms. A licensed functional health care practitioner is a good place to start.
The bottom line is to not ignore your health, or at some point, it WILL go away! That statement cannot be denied!
